Purpose and Objectives

During STEM Plastics course, learners will have the opportunity to achieve basic knowledge about plastics, plastic materials and processing methods used to convert plastics into desirable products. Learners will be experienced by observing and participating in many activities such as making specific plastic products, making synthetic polymers and doing chemistry experiments. In addition to that, learners also raise awareness of the impacts of plastic waste to our environment.

  • Explore natural polymers and synthetic polymers
  • Identify the different types of plastics and applications
  • Differentiate between thermoplastics and thermosets
  • Explain the injection molding technique
